Oh, could I borrow your heart?
You see, I've lost mine
The one who convinced us to part?
Twas only my love divine
A gentleman of such kindness
So very rhythmic in verse
A love so ground did bind us
Losing him, oh, it couldn't hurt worse!
I'm burdened by unbreakable sadness
I simply don't feel right
Slowly slipping into madness
My tears fall in the cover of night
Once I was vibrant and cheerful
Now, I'm only a shell
I do try to be hopeful
But, depression in me does dwell
His eyes I long, so deep
His arms, so strong and bold
Oh, how I could weep!
For his warmth to change my cold
So that, my dear friend, is the tale
Or, at least it is part
So I ask you once again, um... well

Could I Please Borrow Your Heart?
